Seafood export in 2021 is expected to reach over 9.4 billion USD

On February 18, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that in January, the seafood export value was estimated at $ 600 million , up nearly 20% over the same period in 2020.

The US, Japan, China and Korea are the top four import markets of Vietnamese seafood. According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, in 2021 seafood exports are forecast to reach over US $ 9.4 billion , up 10% compared to 2020.

According to the General Department of Customs, during the New Year's Day 2021, Vietnamese goods were exported to 80 markets (an increase of 7 markets compared to the Lunar New Year in 2020). In which the most export is to China with the value of 189 million USD , accounting for 26% of total export value; followed by the US with 152 million USD (accounting for 21%), South Korea with 67 million USD (accounting for 9%), Hong Kong with 57 million USD (accounting for 8%) ... During the 7 days of Tet holidays (10 - 16.2), a Vietnamese enterprise imports goods originating from 57 countries and territories. In which, the largest import is from Korea with the value of 355 million USD , accounting for 38% of the total import value; from China with 159 million USD(accounting for 17%); US with 88 million USD (accounting for 9%) ...
