Advanced water-saving irrigation technology shows the utility and efficiency of S&T application in the garden of Ms. Le Thi Hien (Quan Nam village, Hong Loc commune, Loc Ha, Ha Tinh).
With a garden of 3,000 m2, Ms. Le Thi Hien used 1,000 m2 to build solid works, the remaining 2,000 m2 to grow fruit trees such as custard-apple, jackfruit, pomelo and other short-term trees.
In the past, the watering of trees to prevent drought took her family a lot of effort, and in the hot and long years, she had to hire more people to water the plants in time.

After learning gardening experiences in some localities, earlier this year, Hien purchased a remote control device via internet application to install it for the irrigation system.
Remote control devices via internet application are sensors that self-analyze and make decisions according to the programmed settings. Thereby, it helps users to manage and operate the system as desired through devices such as smartphones, computers with Internet connection.
Remote control device via internet application installed by Hien's family.
This equipment originated from Thailand, the installation is very easy, especially the price is very cheap, only about 1 million VND. The total cost of installing a pipeline system to irrigate 2,000 m2 of fruit trees is more than 15 million VND.
Ms. Le Thi Hien said: "Since installing the remote control device via internet application into the irrigation system, I find it very easy to water the plants against drought. both easily control the watering system.

Not only convenient, but using this device also helps my family save a lot of water. Previously, with 10 blocks of water, 300 m2 of crops could be irrigated, but when installing this device, 10 blocks of water would irrigate 3,000 m2 of crops, 10 times higher than before ".
Thanks to regular daily watering, the plants in Ms. Hien's garden are green and lush, giving fruit.
It is known that in Loc Ha district, there have been 2 households applying this advanced irrigation technology. In addition to Le Thi Hien's family, there is also the family of Mr. Mai Trong Vien (Hong Loc commune) that has just been installed and put into use.

Mr. Ho Sy Giang - Chairman of the Farmers Association of Hong Loc commune said: "The model of watering crops by remote control is very economical, optimal for areas where water is scarce; especially effective for The hilly land area, the farms are very large in order to limit water loss.
We have piloted many times at the garden of Ms. Hien, in the near future, we will invite commune members to learn and replicate this model to improve efficiency in local agricultural production ".
